A Solar Water Heater is a device that provides hot water for bathing, washing, cleaning, etc. using solar energy. The Solar Water Heater works on Thermosyphon principle. The most preferable places are terrace, open ground where sufficient sunlight is available. During daytime, the water gets heated. It is stored in an insulated storage tank. This stored hot water can be used even at night.

What are the main things one should consider before buying of Solar Water Heater?

The main things to consider are:

A) Insulation

B) Anti-corrosive coating of inner tank, preferably Glass lining.

C) Tube and

A) Is the insulation good enough to store hot water for longer duration of time?

                Yes, the Cyclopentane foam insulation has high insulation quality, which keeps water hot for longer duration of time. Sudarshan Saur uses world class ‘Cannon’ make foaming setup to have single stroke homogeneous foaming. This results in uniform foaming, which protects your inner tank from corrosion and keeps your hot water hot for long time.

B) Can we use your Solar Water Heater with ground water / hard water?

                Yes, we have anti corrosive coating called ‘Crystal Blue Glass Lining’ coated on the inside portion of inner tank. In market, there are many types of tank Stainless Steel (SS) tank, Galvanized Iron (GI) tank, Aluminium tank, Copper tank. Every tank has different types of coating like ceramic, epoxy, and other. The best coating is glass lining or enamel lining or porcelain lining. Glass lining or Crystal Blue Glass Lining coating can sustain whether you use ground water or hard water or Municipal Corporation water. Other coatings or paints like ceramic or epoxy cannot withstand ground water / hard water. If used, you may receive red color water after some time. 

C)  1.Shall we receive good quality tubes?

                Yes. Sudarshan Saur tubes have their brand name ‘Sudarshan Saur’ that shows brand guarantee and brand quality. We have in-house testing setup to check quality of tubes. You can trust 100% on our tube quality. We have German make Optosol machine that check absorption, emission of tubes. Our tubes have more than 92% absorption and less than 7% of emission.

  1. Is it correct that one who supplies more tubes will get more hot water?

                No, Bureau of Indian Standard (B.I.S) IS 16543:2016 decides the quantity of tubes. A mathematical principle defines quantity of tubes for each LPD model.

  1. What happens if one of the Evacuated tube breaks?

                Sudarshan Saur tubes are very strong and do not break easily. However, if tube(s) break then it is very easy to replace. Our local dealer can replace the tubes.

D) Is it possible to place your Solar Water Heater on uneven terrace?

                Yes. We use galvanized iron stand, to support Solar Water Heater. The stand can be placed on an uneven surface. The stand can withstand the weight of Solar Water Heater. Moreover, the stand is pure polyester powder coated to protect from corrosion. Whether you buy solar water heater for your home or for commercial use, our expert technicians will install it for you.

          Normally yes. Simple rearrangement of pipes using valves to connect your existing cold-water storage and new Solar Water Heater will help. Installation of additional storage tank is possible.

Please prefer the solar water heater in series combination for bigger family or where, hot water users’ are more than eight people.
